Journey Desktop Interface (Mac, Windows and Linux)

Main Interface

Journal entries are arranged chronologically in descending order on the Desktop version of Journey.

Add Entry

You can create a text, picture or video journal. To create an entry, press "+" to open the editor.

Search

Press the Search icon to search entries containing the specific word and phrase.

Sync Status

Press the sync arrow icon to check the synchronization status (includes date and time of the last sync).

Delete Entry

To delete a single entry, right click an entry > press Delete.

To delete multiple entries at once, press down on your Ctrl key while selecting multiple entries > right click a selected entry > press Delete.

Timeline

Click an entry in the list to open it in timeline.

Preview Media

If a journal entry contains photos or a video, the media preview will be shown in the timeline.

Edit Entry

To edit an entry, press the Pen icon to open the editor.

To share an entry, press the Share icon.

View Previous and Next Entry

Click the left or right arrow in the media preview.

High Quality Media

Click photo icon > "HQ" to change a photo from low to high resolution and vice versa. (Requires internet connection)

Download Media

Click photo icon > download to directly download the media file from Google Drive to your local storage. (Requires internet connection)

Editor

To open the editor, press the "+" button to create a new entry. To edit an existing entry, press the Pen icon.

Save & Discard Entry

Tap the tick icon to save an entry.

Change Date & Time of Entry

Add & Remove Tags

Please refer to Add Tags & Remove a Tag.

Change and Remove Geo Location.
Update and Remove Weather Information.
Attach Media File.
Change Motion Activity.
Formatting Shortcuts.
