Import Journal Entries

Please read before import!


Import at your own risk. Your existing entries may be overwritten. Also, you may have duplicates if you import the same backup multiple times. We are not liable for the failure and incorrect import from other journal platforms.

Android


Ensure that the exported file is saved in the Download folder. To import, go to Settings > Data > tap Import. Select the exported file to import and tap OK.

Supported formats:

Journey
Import Day One Classic
Import Day One
Diaro (Do not enable encryption before export)
Import Daylio
Evernote

Please ensure that you have enabled Storage permission for Journey.


iOS


Ensure that the exported file is saved in the Journey folder. To locate the Journey folder, please go to your device's Files application > On My iPhone > Journey.

To import, go to Settings > tap Import. Select the backup which you would like to import.

Import Day One Classic
Import Day One


Mac Classic, PC & Linux


To import, go to Settings > Database > Import. Drag the backup zip file into the drop zone and click Ok.

Mac


To import, select Journey > Preferences > Data > Import > Select the backup which you would like to import.

Import Day One Classic
Import Day One


Web (Journey.Cloud)


This feature is not supported in the web version.
